Primer, what is it for?

Makeup primers are used underneath eye-shadow, foundation, lipstick, mascara, and even nail polish to create a smooth base that helps keep your other products in place all day.

Whether or not you wear a full face of makeup every single day, you might want to consider adding face primer to your makeup bag. It's a product that you use on your skin prior to foundation application, and it can help with everything from evening out your skin tone to making sure your foundation stays put throughout the day.

Smashbox sent me a box with different primers, all with with a different function and color, so I decided to do some digging and here I am writing this post, leaning together.
