KZ K Studio | Cool Cycle 2024 Collection (Fall/Winter)
We keep seeing the word “sustainability” plastered all over the place as a cute little trendy word and not a verb, so when I encounter designers like Karolina putting a real effort into finding high-tech materials to build her pieces my little heart inflates and sparkles. Not only is she helping the environment using high-quality materials that are actually sustainable, but she also builds convertible pieces you can wear in multiple ways, resulting in lower consumption, washable leather?! yes please, give me a few pieces!
The technology behind the construction of her pieces is complex but interesting.
COOL CYCLE
Co-founders Karolina Zmarlak and Jesse Keyes will be on hand to share more about their inspiration and their adventures through Austria, where they explored the works of architect Adolf Loos. This season they're also taking their slow fashion commitment a step further by introducing what they refer to as the Decency Quotient and some new sustainable fabrics including Recycled Cashmere, Upcycled Leather, Cupro, Recycled Polyester, and more.
THE BRAND
KZ_K Studio extols the use of technologically advanced materials integrated into minimally stylized functional forms. Efficiency and versatility are guiding principles, minimizing excess and maximizing utility, resulting in a light, refined, and essentially minimal product form, while maintaining a sculpted silhouette.
The KZ_K design discipline is undergirded by multi-functionality: technically and precisely developed for the convertibility or full reversibility of collection pieces. The KZ_K Studio mentality focuses on responsible manufacturing, client relationships, and mindful wardrobes that minimize ornamentation, bypass trends, and are constructed for a lifetime of use.
